MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING

MI FOUNDATIONS (12 hours): 2/3/25 & 2/4/25 9am - 4pm CT

Learn practical application of foundational MI concepts and approaches that you can implement immediately. These approaches assist in efficiently and effectively developing rapport, meeting the participant where they are, and supporting mandated and voluntary participants toward behavior change.


ADVANCED MI (6 hours): 2/24/25, 9am - 4pm CT

This workshop will provide opportunity for attendants to define their own participant scenario and address it with advanced MI approaches. Topics will likely include Trauma Informed Care, resistance, discord, preparatory and mobilizing change talk, and how to plan with stressed/traumatized or mandated participants.


 

Trauma (Healing) Informed Ethics & Boundaries: Working with Triggers 2/21/25 4 hours live, virtual workshop in collaboration with the UW Green Bay

This workshop is meant for all direct care professionals who want to understand how Trauma (Healing) Informed Care is Ethical Care. The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and the 6 Key Principles to Trauma (Healing) Informed Care will be explored and aligned, with a specific look at responding to triggers with approaches that help prioritize impact over the intention. Attendees are invited to bring knowledge, experience, and challenges to share with their colleagues to apply real-world examples throughout. Continuing Education: 0.4 CEUs/4 CEHs.



 

Motivational Interviewing (MI) & Trauma (Healing) Informed Care (HIC) Series 3 3-hour hours live, virtual workshops in collaboration with the CHFAReach

Attend 1, 2 or all 3 workshops!  Each class will create an understanding of Healing (Trauma) Informed Care (HIC) , including the holistic effects of stress and trauma on individuals, as well as the effects on direct service providers. Motivational Interviewing (MI) and other approaches will be utilized to apply HIC and other concepts to client scenarios.The series is eligible for 9 hours of continuing education credit.
